WILMETTE – The Wilmette Historical Museum is pleased to announce its 30th annual Spring Housewalk, “A Stroll in the GLOW,” to be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017, from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
This year’s housewalk explores the elegant, tree-lined neighborhood of southeast Wilmette that includes the charming streets of Gregory, Laurel, Oakwood and Woodbine Avenues (hence the acronym the GLOW). This area of east Wilmette was one of the last to be subdivided. All four homes on the stroll date from the neighborhood’s early development around 100 years ago as American residential architecture
