NYC library cards can now get you free entry to some museums

Book-smart New Yorkers will cash in on this deal.

The city’s library cards can now be used to save big bucks at some of the priciest museums, with free admission at places like the Guggenheim and the Intrepid.

Beginning Monday, cardholders at the New York Public Library and the Queens and Brooklyn systems can go online and download daylong Culture Passes for free entry into 33 cultural institutions.

Participants include the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Frick Collection, the Morgan Library and Museum, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and the Museum of Modern Art.
