Museum launches online database

Those wanting to look up Daviess County history can now do so online as the Daviess County Museum has opened up its online database to the public.

In 2016, the Daviess County Historical Society purchased five licenses for its computer program called PastPerfect, Inc. This is programs used by 843 museums in the county to catalog all of the documents, photographs, textiles, military uniforms, genealogical data and other artifacts stored in the museum.

A team of volunteers began inventorying the museum in December of 2016 and as of the end of February, they have cataloged over 4,200 items in the Museum’s PastPerfect
