Layland Museum seeks friends, donations for elevator – Cleburne Times

It’s a shame, Layland Museum Manager Jessica Baber said, that the historic building is only partially open to the public.

“We really can’t use our beautiful upstairs auditorium right now and haven’t used it for much of anything since the Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players relocated to the Cleburne Conference Center several years ago,” Baber said. “The sad part is, it’s such a wonderful area with a stage and plenty of room that we could be using for programs, speakers, music and so many things. And it could also be rented out to groups and people for weddings and other events.”
