McCandless Council has created a committee to focus on promoting its new heritage center and finding sources of funding for programs and upkeep of the facility.
Council voted unanimously Aug. 28 to create the seven-member committee, which will be made up of a resident from each ward who will serve staggered, four-year terms.
The positions are unpaid and will meet every other month or as needed, according to a draft of the resolution.
A member of council will serve as a non-voting liaison.
