The Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum in Fremont is putting the finishing touches on an expansion that will add 1,500 square feet of space, roughly 900 of which will be dedicated to a permanent exhibit detailing the history of silent film.
And on Sunday at 4 p.m., the museum will host a members party to show off the new space and exhibits. There will be refreshments and a silent film presentation as well. For $10, members can get a picture taken with Broncho Billy’s original Oscar.
