City Museum offers geology walking tour

Have you ever wondered how old the rocks under your feet are? Or why gold is found here? Then check out this walking tour being offered by the Juneau-Douglas City Museum.

The special evening walking tour focuses on downtown geology on Thursday, July 6 from 5:30-7 p.m. The tour will highlight the general geology of downtown Juneau, and how this geology has influenced our downtown development and history. The walk will be about 2 miles in length and will begin at the City Museum, located on the corner of 4th and Main streets, and end at the Downtown Public Library. Terrain
